Day 1: Arrival in Kigali – City Tour
- Airport pick-up and warm welcome from your guide
- Kigali highlights tour, including the Genocide Memorial and local markets
- Overnight stay in Kigali
Day 2: Kigali to Nyungwe Forest via Butare
- Breakfast at the hotel
- Scenic drive south through Rwanda’s rolling hills
- Stop at the National Museum in Butare for cultural insights
- Continue to Nyungwe, arriving in the late afternoon
- Evening relaxation at your forest lodge
Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking & Colobus Monkey Encounter
- Early start for chimpanzee tracking in Cyamudongo Forest
- Observe playful chimps and learn about their behavior
- Afternoon guided walk to spot black-and-white colobus monkeys
- Dinner and overnight at your lodge
Day 4: Canopy Walk & Forest Trails
- Morning canopy walk with breathtaking treetop views
- Explore one of Nyungwe’s scenic forest trails with your guide
- Spot orchids, butterflies, and tropical birds
- Evening at leisure surrounded by the sounds of the rainforest
Day 5: Waterfall Hike & Birdwatching
- Guided hike to Kamiranzovu or Isumo Waterfall
- Picnic lunch in the forest
- Afternoon birdwatching to see some of Nyungwe’s 300+ bird species
- Return to lodge for dinner
Day 6: Tea Plantation & Community Visit
- Morning visit to a nearby tea plantation
- Learn about Rwanda’s tea-making process and sample fresh brews
- Afternoon cultural visit to a local village to experience Rwandan hospitality
- Overnight at your lodge
Day 7: Return to Kigali – Departure
- Breakfast and check-out
