• Meet and greet at Kigali International Airport or your Kigali hotel
• Guided city tour with optional visit to Kigali Genocide Memorial or local art galleries
• Scenic 2.5-hour drive northwest to the foothills of the Virunga Volcanoes
• Arrive at your eco-lodge in time to relax and enjoy views of the surrounding forest
• Evening gorilla briefing by park rangers or resident naturalists

• Early breakfast and transfer to park headquarters for registration and briefing
• Begin your trek into the rainforest in search of a mountain gorilla family
• Spend one magical hour observing their social behavior, foraging, and movement
• Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation
• Optional afternoon massage or nature walk around the lodge grounds

• Optional second trek: golden monkeys, Dian Fossey’s tomb, or a volcano hike
• Breakfast and check-out from the lodge
• Return drive to Kigali with stops for crafts shopping or photography
• Drop-off at Kigali hotel or airport for your onward journey
